Today I've made a couple of gift cards for friends. It was a bit more fiddly than I expected as the sachets of hot chocolate were quite thick, so I had to adjust the card for this. Papers used are BG Eva and Urban prairie

This week over on DCM the challenge was to make a Christmas Card in 10 minutes, or to see how many you could come up with in an hour. These PB stamped images are easy (the text says 'peas on earth')and the papers were leftovers, plus, the cards are only 9cm X 9cm
I thought I'd show a picture of my Xmas countdown calender, although I made it last year, its still going strong. Each year I mean to make a proper Advent Calender but I always run out of time. Maybe next year.........
This weeks challenge over at DCM is to be inspired by something in the home, a pattern, design or motif. I decided to choose our place mats as I remembered I had some patterned paper of a very similar design. I have glittered around the edges of the decopaged flowers, but once again my camera hasn't picked this up.
This weeks challenge on Daring Cardmakers is to make a white card with a splash of pink. This is my type of challenge as I could do pink and sparkly all day long. The snowflake and the embossed background were done at my craft club as I don't own a cuttlebug.
Next I made a tag for Tag your'e it and this weeks theme is 'Snow is falling. Used another snowflake die, Sandylion paper and Let it Snow sentiment.I also used a lot of glitter which doesn't show up very well.
Anyone who knows me is aware that I get very twitchy without regular visits to Costa/Starbucks (cinnamon latte is the current fave), so when I saw this weeks DCM challenge I thought I would join in for the very first time.It was simply to make a coffee inspired card, so here it is: I used BG phoebe paper and perfect pearls for the 'froth' I've also used lots of glitter but it hasn't shown up very well in the photo - and I've used one of my favourite sentiment stamps
I have known about this birthday for months, I'm very much looking forward to the party, so why why why do I leave it until 2 days before the big day to make his card. Answer - mens cards are PANTS to do. I have also got a fluey bug, but enough excuses. Here it is - male card with football theme
This weekend's challenge over on Tag Your'e It is to use red & green. This is the first time I have joined in and heres what I came up with. The stamp is by Penny Black and the background paper is MM Falala glittered poinsettia.
I made these gift card holders using a peice of card measuring 13X17cm and folded at 4.5 & 5.5 from each end. I punched eyelets on the inside at each end and used a small peice of velcro to keep the card closed
I made this card for a friend who has just moved to a brand new house. She loves bling and sparkle so I thought this would suit.
I made this Christmas Planner at Scrap Revolution, using a mixture of Bo Bunny Holiday Magic papers and various embellies. Its held together by a couple of book rings with ribbons tied to it. Now........hopefully this will mean that I'll be organised for Christmas!
I made these little coffins for my DD and her friend to put their goodies in tonight when they go trick or treating. I got the template from marthastewart.com and I just used some orange thanksgiving paper which I won last year I think to line the insides.
Here is the card I have made for my DS's birthday. I used a template I found in an ancient copy of Making Cards Magazine. The burger 'meat' is actually co-ordinations card stock which, when sanded down, shows through a lighter colour. I used perfect pearls for the 'sesame seeds' on the bun, and the 'onion rings' have been cut from vellum.
Here's a pic of some mini calendars I have made. I have used bits and bobs from my stash, and stuck a magnetic strip on the back so they can be stuck to fridges. I've sold quite a few of these already and they;re great fun to make.
Over on Just Bex we were challenged to make a card featuring an animal. Heres my take on it
This is a selection of notebooks I have covered and tarted up.Some are for orders and some are for a couple of Sales I've got coming up. I've mainly used the Berry Sweet collection from K & Co, and the plum pudding collection (Craftwork Cards) for the Xmas Lists.
Yesterday I realised I had a couple of cards published in the readers gallery of Beautiful Cards issue 27. Someone from the forum pointed it out to me, as I had sent them off months ago and forgotten all about it. The 1st card was a commission for a bloke who 'likes a drink' so I threaded some mini cans of lager on a string between the 4 and 0.
I thought this stamped sentiment teamed up well with the diamond paper, which I have glittered only you can't really tell from the photo.
This weeks challenge was to make a card relating to whatever you were singing along to. I love Madness and made these 3 new home cards whilst wailing along to Our House, in the middle of our street, our house....................
I entered 3 cards this month and one of them came 3rd. You got extra points for including animals on them which I managed to do, even if a butterfly & a dragonfly is stretching it a bit. If you look carefully there is a dog on the background paper of the bottom card.
Over on Just Bex we were challenged to use something that grows in the garden - but not flowers. I decided to use my PM Secret Garden paper and my Maya Road owl stamp. Was desperate to stick a bloom on somewhere but I resisted
