Shopping Journal

I made this for my neice so she can keep a record of all the things she wants to buy. I've used a complete mish mash of papers, ribbons, stickers & alphabets and put it all together with the Bind-it-all. Hope she loves it

DCM Challenge - Give it some heart

This weeks challenge on Daring Cardmakers is 'the predictable, someone had to do it, theme of Valentines'. So heres my card made using last years Licorice Lane papers (I've still resisted buying BG's bittersweet)and some velvet ribbon.

Tag Challenge - week 42

This week on TYI the challenge set by Carol is 'numbers'. Now I do have a male friends 50th birthday coming up in a couple of weeks, but I rejected that idea in the end, and used some DCWV numbers paper for the background and also from the same pack I used some to make the flower. The sentiment is one of my favourite stamps from Penny Black.

This weeks makes

I made this card for my DD's friend - not sure if its obvious but the little charm on the number 3 is a mobile phone - I've been saving it for something like this - perfect for a teenager. I had a piece of the paper left over so I turned it into a bookmark. It also fits in nicely with the challenge at JustBex which is to create something bright and cheerful - very welcome in the current climate.

Over on crafting friends, Sarn set a great challenge this week - using one stamp to make 2 cards but with different sentiments. This is what I came up with using a really old stamp, one of my first, and I think it needs to go on an A5 card to do it justice

Lubberly Blog Candy

First I would like to thank Carol for nominating me for an award. Pop over to her blog here and check out her excellent work

I have come accross a number of blog candy give aways on my travels and the links are listed below:

Saturday Challenges

This weeks Challenge no 41 over on TYI is 'Sugar Candy Kisses - whatever the title conjures up in your head'. Well I knew straight away that I would use my K&Co Berry Sweet paper as the base, and I added the sentiment and a couple of embellies that match.

And here is the card I made from it.

I have done a couple more cards for the 'Old' challenge on JB They are both using stamped images that have been sent to me and have been hanging around in my file, and the background papers (K&Co and MM) are both really really desperately old

Happy New Year - bit late

Well due to being away at Christmas and then ill for bloomin well ages I have not had anything to show. These next cards were made for various challenges but I am soo rusty and they aren't great, but here goes. This one was for the friendship card challenge on the craft forum. I used a template from a magazine for the birdie

The next 2 are for the JB Challenges - Old - meaning old papers, and I have plenty of those. I used K&Co for the get well soon card, and the 2nd challenge was 'Old and Haggard' (which is how I'm feeling after the winter bug), but it meant anything vintagy or aged.
