Down by the Sea

I made this card for this weeks DCM Challenge, but then realised that it also fitted the Bubbly Scrumtious Challege, which is 'vehicles'. I've used some papers by Creative Imaginations and the boat is a 'bubble sticker'. I have decided to send it to one of this months featured Post Pals Children. Post Pals is a charity which enables members of the public to send a card or a letter to seriously ill children. Something so simple can really brighten up the day of a sick child - You can read about it here

Week 2 another Moo

Well I thought I'd have another go at these babies, and this weeks theme at SCD is 'cirlces' I remembered I had a 'buttons' stamp that came free with a magazine ages ago, so I used that on an inked background. I had some sewing type embellishments that were sent to me as a swap, so I made use of them and here's what I came up with

Mooooooooo

Something Completely Different is really living up to its name this week. The challenge is to create a 'moo card' in black and gold. I'd not heard of these before, but they are 2.8cm x 7cm,- fine I thought, but I didn't realise quite how small that is. Its amazing what the DT have managed to fit onto their examples, while I meanwhile, have managed one stamp.

Sunflowers

This weeks dare over at DCM is 'Sunflowers' and the Design team have come up with some fab examples. I found some paper flowers that I've had for yonks, but I thought maybe they were a bit 3d to put on a card, so I decided to get my BIA out and make a mini photo album. I've decided to fill it with some old pics of my Mum & Dad, but I need to decide which ones, scan them in etc etc, so I could be some time. The gold charms hanging from the binding wires are off a bracelet I got from Primark. tfl.

Owl Mini Book

I made this a couple of weeks ago when my mojo was at its lowest ebb. I got the template from UK Scrappers, who were running a Summer mini book event. This is for some one who is a bit poorly at the moment but helps to run a Brownie pack. The papers were leftover from a garden themed papermania pad.

Basic Grey - week 2

Here is my card for the BG colour combo challenge of brown, yellow & pink. The papers are from the Eva collection. I didn't realise how difficult it was to tie a bow from satin ribbon. or maybe thats just me.

DCM Challenge

The Daring Cardmakers Challenge this week was to make 5 inchies and use them on a card. Now if it had been 4 or maybe 6, I would have found it easier because you can be symetrical, but 5 is a bit of an awkward number. So, not the most exciting card I've ever made but here it is:

SCD Challenge

This week on Something Completely Different, we were challenged to make a 'Birdhouse' - yes you read that correctly. I used Dreamstreet paper for the house and Doodlebug for the background. The birdie stamp is something I won from a previous challenge. Excuse the awful pun, I know its been used to death but if fits. tfl.

Here is a selection of quick(ish) makes for the various sales I do. Most of the stamped images are from swaps. Anyway, this is the reason I've not done any challenges for a while. Next on the agenda is a project for a friends' birthday - that is if I dont go down with swine flu - feeling a bit under par at the mo

2 Challenges

I managed to get a couple of challenges done this week. Over on SDC this month its 'postcards' and the theme is 'faces'. I remembered I still had this stamped image sent to me by a freind, and I just added some glitter & a few embellishments to jazz it up.















Secondly, this card is for the PBS challenge which is 'red, white & blue' in honour of the American Flag.

'BUDDY'S CHALLENGE'

I think I'm just in time to enter this card for The Budsters 3rd birthday challenge over on Kaths Blog. A cute doggy card for a very handsome hound. The shape was copied from a card that was sent to me and it kind of wobbles when it stands up!
